Alexis and David Wedding | Sunfield, MI

Lexi and David had a whole bunch of their closest friends and family to their backyard and horse ranch for their wedding in Sunfield, Michigan outside of Lansing. We had such a perfect weather day this day and the colors were so vibrant in their decorations. My favorite part was them rolling up to their reception in Lexi’s grandfathers 1962 Studebaker. The photo of her dad driving it is one of my favorite photos of the year. There also wasn’t a dry face on the dance floor when Lexi’s grandmother stood up to dance in her husbands arms for the first time in years. She had told Lexi her goal was to dance at her wedding someday, and she did just that. As I was packing up my camera bag at the end of the night I turned around at the sight of headlights behind me only to see Lexi’s grandfather helping her into the Studebaker to drive them home. That was my favorite wedding moment of the year. It was one of those moments where you pray you get to be that old, to get to see the growth and love of your family, and to go home night after night with the one you love.
