My 2021 season started off with a drive up to the tip top of the Leelanau Peninsula with these to kindred spirits. I took Kacie’s senior photos all the way back in 2013 and it was amazing to see her all of these years later in her success and in love. Our goal for this session was to take a hike in the winter wonderland of Northern Michigan. The drive up looked so promising with gorgeous fluffy snow covering the pines along the side of the highway. As we got closer that snow turned into a sprinkle and then as soon as we got into Suttons Bay it was full on rain and no snow in sight. I’m so thankful these two rolled with the weather punches. I’m so happy we still went for the session. Several people have said to me that it looks like we were in Maine and I totally agree. Thankful for this session to start out what will be my busiest wedding year since I lived in Rhode Island.
