What you see here are the best neighbors in the entire world and one of the biggest blessings that has ever walked into our lives. Eric and Annie are two of the sweetest and most generous people we have ever met. One of my favorite things about my life are Annie and I most mornings squinty eyed in mismatched pajamas drinking coffee in beach chairs while the kids play at 9am all summer long. Or when Nora sees her kids out of the window every day and jumps in excitement to go play with them. Or every morning when I open her curtains and she says “Eric’s still sleepin’ or Eric’s workin’” based on if his truck is in the driveway or not. We borrow eggs and random spices from each other, we gossip together, we laugh together, we gawk at landscapers together (until they smile and are missing teeth, yup. that happened). We cry together and tell each other our troubles. And then there’s Eric and Chad who stand in the driveway with their arms crossed rolling their eyes at our crazy projects only to help each other fulfill them for us. This family is really one of the best I’ve ever met and it’s been so amazing to watch their kids grow and for our families to have gotten so close.
