Courteney and Bryan are proof that rain on your wedding day isn’t a bad thing. We had the craziest July weather day last year. It was HOT outside, sunshine, not a cloud in the sky. And then the radar showed a giant storm barreling in right around the ceremony time. It was unbelievable the storm was only 20 minutes away because the sky was so blue. We bumped up the ceremony time a smidge and we had enough time after for a quick 10 minute round of portraits and then literally the minute we were done with family pictures it started down pouring. Luckily we had plenty of time scheduled and we were able to hang and wait it out a little bit. We drove downtown and busted out the umbrellas while there was a lull in the storm. This kind of flexibility is so necessary going into your wedding day. Weather is so unpredictable and there are so many ways to make the best of it.

This wedding was the epitome of class and a good time. I mean just scroll down to the dance floor pictures to see what I mean. I absolutely adored this couple and their bridal party and had such an awesome time with them. Their ceremony was at Aquinas College and their reception was at the GRAM. I wish I could shoot this wedding over and over again.

And really, if you are trying to decide between a DJ and a live band…pick the band ten times over. Courteney and Bryan had the Cabin Guyz as their band and the energy was amazing. It was honestly hard for me to leave their reception because everyone was having such a good time.
